Reference Case of Microsoft Exchange 2007 deployment:
Intercontinental Development & Services Limited is a leader in the provision of high-quality film & video and interactive with professional repair and maintenance services. Its main headquarters team in Hong Kong uses email to communicate with colleagues and with customers in Hong Kong, China, the US, and Europe. Unfortunately, the instability of Intercontinental 's Linux-based email server was impacting business performance.
"Reliable email communications are critical for today's businesses. Lost email disrupts operations, diminishes customer relationships and employee morale, and leads to missed opportunities. An unstable email system is just not enterprise-ready," says Ken, Assistant IT Manager, Intercontinental Development & Services Limited. His experienced team was already running a Linux platform when it deployed Fedora Linux and Sendmail six years ago. But even this familiarity was not enough to prevent the mail system crashing two or three times a week, with significant email losses of around 10%.
Says Ken: "We needed to replace our previous system with a robust messaging platform that would improve our communication and collaboration abilities. For stability, functionality, and investment protection, no solution could beat Microsoft Exchange Server 2007."

Why Virtualization?
Nowadays Virtualization is a revolutionary technology that is dramatically changing the computing landscape. Although large enterprises were generally the first to jump on the virtualization bandwagon, virtualization is an amazingly versatile, surprisingly affordable technology to IT organizations of all sizes including SME and the benefits are tremendous and instant.
If you are frustrated by low server utilization levels, lack of space to expand your infrastructure, limited budget to buy new hardware, no resources to deploy new hardware, lack of backup/restore capabilities, grappling with out-of-control power and cooling expenses, Virtualization is the right solution to answer all these very common, yet frustrating, IT challenges.
Virtualization can help companies of all sizes to vastly increase server utilization levels, delay or avoid hardware purchases, and expand infrastructure capacity without increasing physical space requirements, makes hardware deployment easier, helps to bring power and cooling expenses under control, and provides backup and restore capabilities to ensure business continuity.
Benefit of Virtualization:
Dramatically cutting costs – By reducing to 1/10th the number of physical servers, you will not only reduce your hardware and labor costs, but also save associated power, cooling and space costs. It's good for the environment and your budget.
Reducing Deployment time – Manual configurations are a thing of the past. Deploy a new virtual machine in minutes – a 50% to 70% reduction on average.
Allocating resources in a few clicks – Automatically manage the dynamic distribution of resources, assign processor power as needed and live migrate virtual machines from one physical host to another with no downtime – all without the end-user ever realizing a thing has changed.
Virtualization helps our clients reduce capital and operational costs
By reducing the number of servers you use, you can dramatically reduce your hardware acquisition and server management costs. Plus, since you'll also be using less power, less cooling, and less space, those costs are likely to drop as well. The savings that result from virtualizing your infrastructure generally fall into two categories - capital cost savings and operational cost savings.
Capital savings come in the form of reduced hardware acquisition and data center real estate costs.
•Moving to a virtual environment reduces the number of physical servers necessary to support your infrastructure.
•An ancillary benefit is the possible redeployment of some existing infrastructure as part of a disaster recovery solution.
•Virtualization helps you avoid the cost of data center expansions.
